Like wine..?
Portugal is the seventh largest wine producer in the world and several regions produce good quality wines.
In additon to the better known Ports and Madeira a large range of wines are produced, including;
Dao. From the slopes of Dao Valley comes a fresh white and a sweet red.
Vinho Verde. Vines grown in the Douro valley produce both white and deep red wines, and both light and sparkling.
Colares. Grown in the Serra de Sintra; a famous and robust dark red wine.
Bairrada. From this old wine growing region comes a Fragrant red wine and a natural sparkling wine.
Bucelas. The Bucelas is a dry white wine from the banks of the river Trancao off the Tagus.
