• Portuguese Walking Holidays and Walking Portugal offer an exciting and new center based venture in Central Portugal.
• We wish to provide you with a fully supported guided walking holiday visiting places of local and historical interest.
• We class our walks as moderate (10 to 16 km's), with time to appreciate and contemplate our surroundings.

More than a walking holiday, a chance to discover the magic and charm of the real Portugal.

Bed & Breakfast, is also available (at Casa Vale Louro).

The meadows are abundant with stunning flora and you can catch the scent of the wild herbs in the grasses.

In Central Portugal there are interesting and fascinating animals, such as the marten, genet, wild boar, wolf and lynx and in the brooks you can find the strange looking fire salmander (although all very elusive).

Bird life is rich in the area and in the higher moorlands you will find goshawk, eagles and kites. While in the lower regions; harriers, hoopoe, great spotted cuckoos, and woodpeckers can be seen.

• Collection from both Lisbon or Porto airports and return journey.
• 7 nights high quality accommodation at Casa Vale Louro which offers en-suite facilities and private balconies overlooking the breathtaking Louro Valley and with stunning views of Penela Castle.

* The evening meal on Day 1 'arrival & welcome' is at 7pm. Those arriving late will be offered a light supper if desired.
